Alana is a graduate clinician working toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee. As a retired police officer she has over 15 years of experience in crisis intervention, de-escalation and negotiation.
With her background in law enforcement, she has a desire to support emergency responders as well as those in middle age and older (45+). Alana works with adult individuals who present with anxiety, life transitions, depression, and stress management.
Alana aims to create a safe and supportive atmosphere which can empower clients as they work within the therapeutic context. She does so through a trauma informed lense with the use of approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy and motivational interviewing.
