Elena Galvez graduated with her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Southern Adventist University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of

Wisconsin-Parkside in psychology and double minored in criminal justice and Sociology. She has experience working with children and adolescents, as well as adults.

She has a strong desire to advocate for mental health to reduce stigma and encourage more open conversations about mental well-being and helping people feel empowered to seek help when needed. She has worked in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings as a primary mental health therapist as well as an addiction counselor.
She is open to working with clients of all ages (6+). Her experience has led her to working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, personality disorders, stress management, relationship issues, grief, loss, and trauma. Her primary focus is working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
With the experience she gained working as a therapist, she realized that the modalities she uses differ on a case by case basis, but overall she applies cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered, emotion-focused, solution focused, and trauma-informed therapy.
She is open to telehealth as well as in person appointments, and at this time offers only individual therapy sessions.
Overall, she believes every person has the potential to heal, grow, and thrive,
no matter where they are in their journey. Her goal is to provide a
safe, supportive space where you can explore your emotions, uncover your
strengths, and build the life you envision for yourself. Elena strives to give hope when people feel hopeless and inspire others to be all that they are capable of being. It is an honor to be invited into the heart of one who is hurting so deeply.
